The Shiba Inu community is preparing for the launch of the Shibarium. Recently, a member of the development team revealed the launch date of this layer 2 protocol and Elon Musk will likely attend the launch event of Shibarium.
The core developer of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, shared a post highlighting that the Shibarium is ‘likely’ to be released at the Blockchain Conference. The event is scheduled to take place on August 15 and 16 in Toronto, Canada.
A few hours ago, Elon Musk announced on Twitter (now X) that he loves Canada. Musk’s post was accompanied by a photo of himself wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the phrase. And it looks like Kusama is now expecting the Tesla CEO to back the Shibarium launch event.
He retweeted Musk’s tweet and said:
“See you at the Blockchain Conference”
Under the post, members of the Shiba Inu Army flooded the comments with exclamations like “SHIB price increase”, “moon soon” and “great”. However, some others commented that the possibility of Musk attending this event is very low.
There hasn’t been any official confirmation that Musk will be attending. Everything, for now, is still just speculation stemming from developer Shytoshi Kusama’s tweet.
Even so, members of the Shiba Inu Army are still optimistic and believe that “Musk’s attendance at the launch event of the Shibarium will be a great recognition for SHIB”.
“If he comes, it will be a huge exposure for SHIB and Shibarium,” said one investor. The price of SHIB is now up 4.9% from the past 7 days. At the time of writing, it is trading at 0.00000827 USD. Along with the ascending trend, the bearish sentiment regarding SHIB fell 13%.
At the same time, the Social Contributors Index (which measures how many people are talking about SHIB on social networks) has increased by nearly 38% compared to the past 7 days. This indicates that the pessimism is slowly disappearing and social media chatter is starting to increase due to the euphoria returning to SHIB.
