According to CoinDesk, the bitcoin price recorded at 7:55 a.m. on September 13 reached 25,938.83 USD/BTC, up 2.92% compared to 24 hours ago. The price of bitcoin as well as many other crypto assets recovered quickly after a deep decline because of information that FTX was about to “discharge” 3.4 billion USD of altcoin (a cryptocurrency other than bitcoin).
Bitcoin’s capitalization today recovered to 505 billion USD, accounting for 49% of the cryptocurrency market. The entire market capitalization recorded at 8 a.m. was 1,033 billion USD, an increase of 24 billion USD compared to 24 hours ago.
At the same time, the 24-hour trading volume on the market increased by 20.36% compared to September 12, reaching 35.76 billion USD.
As of 8:00 a.m. on September 13, among the 100 coins with the largest capitalization, 75 coins increased in price. In this list, the strongest increase belongs to Rollbit Coin (RLB), going up about 18.20% on the day. The currency with the deepest loss was Stellar Lumens (XLM), with a decline of 5.91%.
At 8 am, among the 10 coins with the largest capitalization, 8 coins increased in price compared to 24 hours ago. The remaining two coins on the list are stable coins with constant prices.

Paypal allows US users to sell cryptocurrency
According to Cointelegraph, payment giant Paypal has just integrated a new method that allows users to sell cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. On September 11, PayPal introduced a service that allows users in the US to convert cryptocurrency directly from their wallet to their PayPal account balance.
According to the announcement, Paypal’s currency exchange feature will immediately be rolled out to wallets, decentralized exchanges, and NFT exchanges. At the same time, this feature is also available on MetaMask, a popular cryptocurrency wallet. The new feature allows users to buy and sell certain cryptocurrencies in the US.
“Once integrated, web3 merchants can expand their customer base by connecting to Paypal’s fast and seamless payment experience, trusted by millions, while also taking advantage of our security tools. Paypal’s privacy policy to handle fraud, chargebacks and disputes,” the release said.
A video promoting PayPal’s money exchange service shows that to send 0.0015 BTC ($50), users will have to pay $5 in network fees and $2.19 in transaction fees.
In August 2023, PayPal partnered with hardware wallet company Ledger to provide a cash-to-crypto conversion service, allowing users in the US to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH ) and Litecoin (LTC) directly on the Ledger wallet through the Ledger Live software.
